Our client, a well respected trading house with a global reach, is looking to expand their grains and oilseeds platform. They have recognition throughout the commodities markets, and are looking to broaden their success into the black sea area, with particular focus on oilseeds and grains origination.
Skills / Attributes required for the role:
• 5-7 years+ of soft commodity marketing/trading experience.
• Focus is oilseeds, grains and other similar grain products.
• Extensive knowledge of the soft commodities market is essential.
• The candidate would ideally be based in Europe as the role is focused on the Black Sea area.
Key responsibilities
• Marketing trading oilseeds and grains.
• Origination from the Black Sea.
• Shipping, container and volumes knowledge is required.
• Must be very well acquainted with CBOT, KCBT AND MATIF.
• Spreads and options knowledge is essential.
• Profitable PL track record.
• Ideally the candidate comes from a physical trading house background rather than a bank.
