CONTRACT POSITION
Position will perform engineering, scientific, and analytic services associated with non-destructive evaluation (NDE) testing.
Required Job Duties
Design and fabrication activities for the manufacturing of mockups to support NDE projects.
Operate ultrasonic data acqu
Performs ultrasonic data analysis
May conduct independent field research at the direction of the project manager
Prepare or provide input to technical documents
Assists Project/Program managers in assessing customer needs, formulating technical approaches, preparing proposals and making presentations
Makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary
Provide support to other utility members on-site as needed
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
BS degree in science/engineering or equivalent work experience
Three-dimensional CAD modeling experience with Autodesk® AutoCAD®, Autodesk® Inventor®, and/or SolidWorks®
Ability to read and understand engineering drawing schematics
Familiar with machining processes
Familiar with Microsoft® Office Software Suite
Familiar with computers (both hardware and software)
Ability to learn to operate automated, electro-mechanical equipment with motion control systems
Ability to develop and follow procedures for quality assurance (QA) and general tasks
Able to convey technical results effectively to other technical staff
Preferences for Skills/Knowledge
NDE / UT experience, training, or degree
3D parametric solid modeling
QA project experience
Network or Advanced computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
Self motivated, independent learner who also works well with others
