Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and supervise quality training programs that ensure the needs of new and existing, including Care, Quality and Appeals Disputes;
- Provide instructional effectiveness via regular classroom observations and end-of-class evaluations;
- Support training outcomes and identify needs for additional training;
- Maintain standards of training excellence, schedule training pools and cross-training schedules
- Train trainers and supervise these individuals in taking the training they have received back to their departments
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Internal Desktop Procedure updates for Care and Quality;
- Ensure that all training is based on current procedures;
- Utilize CQI process and tools to improve curricula for technical training classes
- Serve in a consultant role by establishing and maintaining a communication network and cooperative relationships with colleagues, corporate liaisons and departmental managers in the region to meet Care and Quality management training needs, cross training and corporate project initiatives
- Responsible to assess and develop refresh or and/or tutorial support as necessary
- Strong planning and time management skills with ability to set clear actionable objectives
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Superior communication skills, implement vision, values, goals and objectives
- Ability to communicate/interface with all levels of the company and have an understanding of the business and its impact on the organization. Develops and tests curriculum to ensure processes are documented and aligned with regulatory requirements, system functionality, processes improvements and business transformation initiatives. Moderate to heavy keying required.
Job Requirements:
- Current Florida RN license
- 3 + years clinical experience to include at least two years’ experience within the healthcare industry.
- Experience with claims, customer service, medical and quality procedures
- Experience with MHS, IMS, ICS as well as recent training of new applications
- Experience with InterQual (SI/IS)
- Ability to travel 40% of the time, or more, to include overnight stay
Business Specific Criteria (preferred skills):
- Experience conducting learning needs assessments, curriculum design, course facilitation and ability to evaluate training
- Effectiveness.
