Underwriting Manager recruitment
Our client is seeking an Underwriting Manager for their Long Island, NY Team. The Underwriting Manager will supervise a staff of mortgage underwriters, ensure that they adhere to established compliance policies, supervise quality control and evaluation of credit performance, and develop systems to enhance workflow and efficiency. The manager will also be expected to remain current on all guidelines and changes.
REQUIREMENTS
15+ years of full-time underwriting experience at a senior level
Previous management experience
Must be familiar with risk assessment, complex income calculation, and sophisticated collateral review
Should be familiar with regulatory requirements as well as credit requirements of agencies and investors
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects and reports
Flexibility with schedule to accommodate busy periods
College Degree and DE required
Previous experience in accounting and credit analysis preferred.
