Underwriting Researcher & Project Assistant Job in City Of London, London Uk
We have an opportunity open for an Underwriting Researcher and Project Assistant at our client; a well-respected and premier insurance firm in the City of London.
This role sits within the specialty insurance area, which offers underwriting expertise and market leadership in various lines of business, particularly the marine disciplines of hull, liabilities, offshore energy and cargo; fine art and specie; bloodstock, international aviation and casualty. The major responsibilities of the underwriting researcher and project assistant will be to:
-Assist in the business analysis/research of the underwriting process, including liaison with underwriters, gathering business requirements and collating findings
-Creating documentation such as meeting logs and highlight reports, manage actions and their resolution
-Assist in arranging meetings with stakeholders
-Assist in testing for systems implementations including devising test plans and following system delivery procedures
-Work across the business with multiple stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery and support
-Assist in creation of presentations and briefing notes for process efficiency initiatives
-Update procedures; assist in updating operations manuals
-Creation of ad hoc training materials and release notes
-Assist in ad hoc data cleansing/capture/analysis projects as directed
As such, we are seeking an underwriting researcher and project assistant with the following skills and experience:
-Strong academics
-General computer competency, including good knowledge of MS Office
-High level of numeracy literacy
-ICT qualifications
-A logical approach to complex tasks
-Motivated self starter with an ability to use initiative
