Position Description

Monitors alarm equipment and responds to alarms and/or calls by determining the needed response (e.g., hazmat, medical, accident, safety, mutual aid, local agencies) and dispatches or requests the appropriate personnel (e.g., fire, security, medical, hazmat, facilities, external support, mutual aid). Communicates emergency or non-emergency information to external resources (e.g., insurance companies, fire departments, utilities, law enforcement agencies) in order to initiate activity, advise of conditions and relay information. Tracks appropriate information by maintaining activity log and completing reports. Communicates emergency or non-emergency information to internal resources (e.g., fire department, uniform security, transportation, facilities, EHS, management) in order to generate activity (e.g., dispatch appropriate resources), advise of conditions (e.g., weather, fire, hazmat spill, bomb threat,) and relay information (e.g., emergency evacuation, management notification). Tracks appropriate information by maintaining activity log and completing reports. Controls access to government property by ensuring that all persons and property entering or leaving have the proper authorization and credentials for admittance or exit by using the appropriate systems or techniques. Controls and monitors remote gates and closed circuit cameras to protect personnel, property and enforce policies and governmental regulations. Escorts groups or individuals as directed by management in compliance with federal agency policy and procedures to prevent compromising government classified information. Writes and reviews various reports to document facts and circumstances that have occurred to comply with company and government policies and procedures. Submits reports to the appropriate company, program and regulatory recipients to determine if further action or follow-up is required. Participates in records documenting activities (e.g., deliveries, shipments, visitors, key issuance, property release permits, random inspections). Patrols government property to ensure that government policies are met and company, customer, personal property and personnel are safeguarded. Responds to calls as dispatched for routine and emergency response (e.g., workplace violence, threats of violence, accidents, medical incident, hazardous materials incidents and aircraft incidents). Assesses the situation, takes control and determines the appropriate course of action. Provides stand-by assistance for corrective action, terminations, drug screenings and/or reasonable suspicion incidents. Works as part of a multi-national team of SDOs. Performs routine maintenance of safe storage containers as well as combination changes of safes and Unican locks.

Typical Education/Experience

High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidate is required to have a current TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph. U.S. citizenship is required of applicant. Modified Common Company Benefits apply. Position contingent on contract award.
