Unisure Systems Analyst Programmer
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the business and IT strategies and their relationship with current activities.
- Ensure that solutions achieve an appropriate balance between time, cost, quality and strategic alignment
- Ensure all developments comply with future vision.
- Ensure all design activities comply with CMMI and QMS. Promote further institutionalization of CMMI and QMS within the component using smart adoption where possible.
- Accurate and concise project reporting.
- Management of milestones at an appropriate level throughout the life cycle.
- Efficient risk and change management
- To be proactive at all stages of the project life cycle in ensuring the project runs smoothly and utilizes the appropriate development, test, and implementation methodology.
- Decision making and problem solving.
- Readiness to embrace and promote new and/or improved working methods.
- Perform build, unit link testing, and support for the project assigned to
Experience Skills Qualifications
- Overall 5+ years of experience in Life Pension domain is must.
- Knowledge of the functions and capabilities of the Unisure package
- Working knowledge of the Personal Pension products and processes
- Being able to develop using the Linc language, SQL, and Mainframe
- Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines
- Able to devise innovative solutions to achieve the goals of the component
- Able to communicate and work in a team effectively
- Able to demonstrate strong initiative and self-learning capabilities
- Solid track record of delivering within projects.
Comprehensive knowledge/management of:
- Code migration methods/tools/software development/configuration management
- Stack/Component/Industry estimating tools/architecture/internal external relationships/release implementation planning
- Defect tracking and resolution via tools like Quality Centre.
- Interdependency management between/within IT systems
- Handover and warranty support for application support
- Estimating, planning, and reporting
- Control change management.
- Can demonstrate ability to work in dynamic environment.
- Technology dependent but a flexible approach to different methodologies and levels of structure.
