Job Description:
The Coordinator provides exceptional service and serves as a liaison between Health Care Affiliates, faculty and staff, patient care staff, volunteers, vendors, and the consumer public, assisting the patient in resolving questions or problems as related to the specific job functions involved.

Registration, check-in, financial counseling, pre-visit, scheduling, teleservices, physician resources, billing, collections, and customer service.

Ensures that all the phases of customer service related to the job function have been performed efficiently and accurately, and mandatory requirements have been met in order to ensure timely and optimal reimbursement. Serves as a role model and mentor for other staff.

Essential Functions

Demonstrates excellent customer service in person, by telephone, fax and/or email.

Demonstrates knowledge of office/computer systems IDX, telephonic, and web references.

Proactively utilizes available technology, information and tools in seeking and implementing solutions.

Meets and works to exceed the revenue cycle goals and productivity standards based on department requirements according to each designated area.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Three years experience in a health care registration, billing or scheduling.

Keyboarding skills of 40 wpm, data entry, basic math and a pleasant phone voice. Understanding of medical terminology.
