Job description
Within this Systems and Technology group there are openings in Process Engineering, Inline Characterization, Functional Characterization, and the Mask House.

Process Engineers:
Responsibilities for Process Engineering include developing the manufacturing process strategy; creating, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes; and implementing new product processes and logistics setups utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principles. People in this role implement engineering changes and related manufacturing system settings. Other responsibilities include participating in world-wide engineering projects to design new processes, make existing processes and systems more manufacturing friendly, and provide feedback to development on manufacturing problems linked to products.

Inline and Functional Characterization:
Engineering responsibilities include data analysis of key inline measurements (physical and electrical) to drive yield improvement,
diagnose process shifts, evaluate process/product improvements. These engineering groups require high level of teamwork and collaboration
across multiple organizations to meet both sustaining and development in manufacturing requirements.

Mask House:
Development engineers are needed to support our semiconductor products. The specific development engineering positions are in our mask facility located in Essex Junction, VT. This is IBM's sole internal location for the development and fabrication of masks used in wafer lithography. Activities include everything from manufacturing current production masks to development of state-of-the-art masks for photolithography and next generation lithographies including EUV.

Positions are available for undergraduate and advanced degree candidates.

Disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics. Experience in lithography is a plus for Mask House opportunities.
