Unit Trust Settlement Account Manager – 6 – 12 month FTC recruitment

Main Job Purpose:

The Account Manager will be the daily contact for all clients regarding all aspects of settlement of Unit Trusts (UT) on the UK market. The Account Manager provides direct support to clients including operational and processing knowledge and ensures that client' questions and issues are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner. As such, the Account Manager oversees the local operational processes on behalf of their client(s).

Main Tasks:
Responsible for :
- Assisting Clients in investigations
- Providing direct support to clients for operational and processing knowledge
- Ensuring clients' questions and issues are responded to in a timely and appropriate fashion
- Ensuring the escalation of problems to team leader/line manager
- Ensuring up-to-date procedures are maintained
- Ensuring stock and cash breaks are solved quickly
- Ensuring failed trades are kept to the minimum
- Ensuring Unit Trust trades are processed / renunciation forms are sent/ payments made/ chased with UT's
- Ensuring Coverall agreements are in place with all UT's
- Assisting the reconciliation team in clearing breaks
- Processing Unit Trust trades through our internal system
- Setting up of new accounts with fund managers

- The development/implementation of enhancements in providing product expertise
- Client service with high quality
- Support other team members in case the workloads require
- Co-ordinate with other team members when abnormal workload or situation require

Skills

Candidates - Experience required:

· Operational experience in a high volume brokerage or custodian environment of a major ("blue chip") institution or the demonstrated ability to learn the details of the environment quickly
· Flexible approach to working hours
· Client awareness
· Risk awareness
· Self confidence and independence, taking responsibility for the assigned task and client responsibilities
· Ability to work under pressure
· Strong understanding of the UK market, particularly focused around unit trusts
