University Lawyer (Research) Job in Sydney, New South Wales Australia

have a clearly defined strategy to achieve this goal and we aspire to
have the highest possible levels of research engagement amongst our
staff – a pervasive research culture which spans all academic levels.   The
Research Office is responsible for the management of research that
takes place at Macquarie University or is conducted by University staff.
This task is divided between four functional teams, Research Grants,
Research Contracts, Ethics and Reporting and Data.

The University Lawyer (Research) is responsible for
managing risk to the University resulting from contracts and agreements
relating to research projects by reviewing, negotiating and drafting
such agreements and advising on the interpretation of University's
statutes and rules, providing guidance on the application in intellectual
property laws and acceptability of research agreements for signature.

Package: From $80,609 pa (Level 8) base salary, 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.
