Unix Analyst ( Solaris / Perl / shell scripting ) recruitment

Operate and maintain the application in a 24x7 UNIX environment;

• Develop, execute and maintain Perl, shell and SQL scripts;

• Install, test and regress system software updates;

• Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for the Solaris system and software;

• Install, configure and update UNIX systems and software;

• Create required reports in response to business user needs;

• Develop, document, and maintain system training materials and systems documentation for educating end users and new staff;

• Assist in the Network Operations Center with Global system monitoring;

• Manage trouble tickets;

• Interact with other teams in support of the application;

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable education and experience;

• Minimum of 3 years UNIX experience in an enterprise environment;

• Specific knowledge of Solaris required;

• Working technical knowledge of coding using Perl and shell scripting;

• Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience;

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Oracle database 9/10G/11G;

• Oracle PL/SQL language;

• Credit card processing knowledge;

• Windows Server 2003/2008;

• Familiar with TOAD;

• Help Desk experience;

• Windows and Networking skills;

• SCOM experience helpful;
