Unix Engineer recruitment
UNIX Engineer required by High Frequency Trading Algorithmic firm based in London.
The successful UNIX Engineer will support and maintain the production trading platform in an extremely high performance environment. The position is critical to the company and offers excellent room for growth.
The UNIX Engineer will oversee the internal systems and all connections with external markets. This will include being in charge of morning start-up and evening shutdown, responding to external market alerts and outages and interfacing with exchanges to support trading.
The successful UNIX Engineer will requires the following skills/experience:-
• Superb/Expert UNIX Engineering/Development/Administrative skills
• Extensive scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Ksh, Korn)
• Linux
• FIX
• C++ programming
• Relevant industry experience (Small Trading house, Prop trading companies, Algo Development firms)
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent communication skills
