UNIX / LINUX Systems Engineer recruitment
Our client, an innovative, fiercely competitive international trading company has been experiencing rapid growth in the last 12 months within the APAC region, and thus has an urgent need for a highly experienced UNIX / LINUX systems engineer to join their Singapore operation.
In this role, you will be involved with the design, implementation and maintenance of the existing UNIX and Linus systems, work closely with trading staff to ensure all performance requirements are met, install new exchange connections while enhancing existing, troubleshoot all exhange related issues either directly with and exchange or broker while keeping up to date on new technologies that can bring a competitve advantage.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you MUST possess the following -
• Extensive working experiece with UNIX/Linux server and desktop environments
• Strong working knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies (eg. TCP, UDP, multicast, routing protocols etc)
• Understanding of infrastrucutre operations, software and design, server hardware and management utilities
• Familiarity with one or more Electronic Trading Applications, FIX protocol and/or other Exchange protocols is a plus
• proven history of working in a high pressure fast paced work environment, especially experience on a trading floor
