 Key Responsibilities

• Working with application and project teams in the planning and implementation of major project work.

• Technical troubleshooting and architecture utilising one or more of our core products (Solaris, Linux, Veritas and PowerBroker)

Candidate requirements

You will have:

• A strong technical background with proven in-depth Solaris, Linux and Veritas knowledge;

• proven experience of large scale server environments;

• Experience and knowledge in PowerBroker policies and scripting;

• A clear understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and an understanding for Incident, Problem and Change Management;

• The following Technical Skills (essential):

o    Solaris 10

o    Linux (Red hat, SUSE, VMware) (advanced troubleshooting).

o    Veritas Cluster Server (advanced troubleshooting and architecture).

o    Veritas Volume Manager (advanced troubleshooting).

o    Veritas File System

o    Sun Volume Manger

o    Korn shell scripting

o    EMC San technologies (RDF, DMX, Symmetric Unix Command set)

o    Documentation skills (sharepoint, wiki.)

You will be:

• You will be the sort of person who welcomes responsibility and you will proactively look to identify and improve existing processes and practices within the environment;

• Able to demonstrate a strong operational mindset throughout the project lifecycle;

• Recognised as an expert and a technical leader in key areas of you SA skills;

• ITIL Foundation or equivalent qualified.
