UNIX SYSTEM LEAD – IMPLEMENT A ‘PAYMENT GATEWAY’ recruitment

Reporting into the Systems Head, you will work both independently and part of a project team to implement a payment gateway which interfaces to the bank’s backend system and financial network host. You will have responsibility for project control and planning, understanding user requirements, as well as managing teams and vendors to ensure the delivery of projects and regular enhancement releases.

We expect you to be technical strong across UNIX system administration (preferably SUN Solaris) with at least 4-6 years of working experience in delivering projects in Payment systems. You will have knowledge of programming languages (UNIX Scripting, Java programming, C); basic understanding of Networks so you can liaise with the network team to setup infrastructure/ leased line/firewall rules; knowledge of Security (HSM (Luna ), including key management concept, PKI, LDAP); Interfaces (MQ, Connect Direct setup) and Web application server (preferably Weblogic). It will also be advantageous to understand change control (IBM Rational products) and monitoring tools (BMC patrol, SNMP alert). Experience with AS400 systems environment (RPG, COBOL C) and Oracle databases will be a plus
