Leading Investment Bank requires as a strong Senior Unix Systems Administrator to join their team. The team are predominantly responsible for all the strategic change the bank project UNIX initiatives as well as supporting over 2000 UNIX servers.
Technically, the successful Unix Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing 3rd level support of Solaris and Linux 5 distributed servers, the split is currently 40% Solaris and 60% Linux. Candidates are expected to have strong experience of Veritas Foundation suite and Server Clustering, VMware, SAN / NAS Storage and also networking.
As the role is quite senior, the successful Unix Systems Administrator will also be responsible for taking leadership of projects. This will consist of hands on delivery of technical solutions or defining a technical methodology as well as taking charge of project co-ordination with users and the globally distributed implementation team.
