Job ID: HITS03121027 Unix Systems Administrator - Scott AFB, IL - HITS03121027 Description: Unix Systems Administrator Job Code: HITS03121027 Job Description: * Responsible for Unix systems administration support in a highly dynamic test environment. * Responsible for software installation and configuration, system patching, system build, software deployment, Windows client and server exposure. Qualifications: * Successful candidates will have a Bachelors degree and 5 years relevant experience (or commensurate background and experience). * Candidate must meet certification requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ certified). Preferred Additional Skills: * Candidate should have Unix experience in building and maintaining hardware and software preferably with infrastructure knowledge (switch, router, and firewall). * Preferred candidate will have experience scripting, C/C++, RedHat, Solaris, Centos, OpenBSD, compile software, administration, EMC, fiber channel, VMWare, and/or SQL. * Experience with DoD systems a plus. * Familiarity with Windows OS a plus. * Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
