Business Unit Overview
AsiaPac Commodities Technology team supports Global Commodities business technology platforms and applications, and directly supports Commodities business in Asia Pacific: trading desk in Singapore and sales associates in various Asia Pacific major cities.
Culture in the team: Dynamic and open interaction between team members, with a lot of direct Front and Middle Office interactions, and close working relationship with counterparts in Houston London office.
Project Summary
This role will be focusing on Commodities Application Service Delivery - Lights On / Business as Usual support. Main support focus area is Level 1 2 support for Global Commodities applications.
Responsibilities
- L1 / L2 Support
- Application resiliency and reporting
- Application monitoring
- Batch End-Of-Day management
- Incident management and issue tracking
- Change control and release management
- Capacity planning

- Liaison with IT infrastructure teams
Requirements
Essential Skills
Technical
- Application support experience in Openlink Endur application.
- Experience in running End-Of-Day batch.
- Strong knowledge in SQL scripting.
- Experience in Windows Server 2003/2008 environments.
Business
- Understanding of financial instruments application in particular for Commodities market, ideally gained while working in similar position at an investment bank / trading firm
- Familiarity with Static Reference Data as well as Middle Back Office processes in investment bank.
Management
- Motivated individual with good communication skills, have the ability to work well with others and leverage others' strengths and experience to achieve team goals. Strong work ethic.
- Possess a proactive personality for self learning.
- Effective communicator to manage issues to resolution, with quick effective escalation.
- Strong analytical skills in evaluating problems in short amount of time and communicating them to users, technology team members / counterparts and other stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Technical
- Development experience in Openlink Endur AVS scripting.
- Strong knowledge in application development on Oracle databases.
- Proficient in supporting on UNIX platform.
- Experience in ITRS monitoring framework management.
- Familiarity with Perl Python scripting.
Business
- Understanding of Sales Trader daily operations and workflows.
- Experience in Options and Futures valuations, including knowledge of the Positions, Greeks, PnL, MTM
- Understanding of financial products in LME, ICE CME exchanges.
- Familiarity with market data and construction of forward curves and volatility surfaces.
Management
- Strong self starter in communication with global development teams to follow up on issue resolution.
- Balance reactive support work against more project focused tasks.
- Ability to write support documentation for team global knowledge sharing.
