Job Description

The role is for a position within the Tradeplant team to support the "Quartz" Platform. The candidate will be responsible for the support of the strategic risk platform used by many lines of business (Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, Mortgages, Commodities, etc) . The team looks after all the shared infrastructure used by each Line of Business.

The candidate will work closely with Development teams and various lines of businesses in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore and with Tradeplant teams globally to drive operational consistency across the globe. The candidate will interface with the Quartz on-boarding team for new application on-boarding and with internal IT teams (development and infrastructure) to ensure application stability and availability. The candidate needs to be hands-on and be able to perform within a busy, high pressure environment.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for support of the Quartz platform in the APAC region using a follow the sun model. The candidate will need to coordinate activities with the Production Support and Infrastructure teams in the other regions. Activities will include

· First Second line Support of the Quartz platform

· Ability to manage infrastructure related issues

· On-going maintenance, release and deployments on all applications

· Responsible for managing Business Continuity Planning (ensure all hardware in both Production and Non- production sites are inline from both a hardware and software perspective)

· Capacity reviews (ensure applications and hardware are correctly sized for sudden increase in business volumes),

· Building Power downs

· Drive Process Improvements and plant automation

· Liaise with Development teams and drive application stability

· Work closely with the Integration team on application on boarding and provide specifications for tools needed within the operational space to minimise time taken on manual tasks

Requirements

Experience Required:

· Front Office Support experience; ability to display that candidate can multitask and perform in a time pressured environment

· Deep experience of working within a Linux environment

· Good scripting skills - Python a plus

· Basic SQL skills and understanding of databases

· Basic understanding of infrastructure (hardware) components, networking
