UPS Engineer Job in Aberdeen, Central Scotland UK
As a Field Service Engineer / UPS Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown support, repair, planned maintenance (PPM) and fault finding and repair to component level on analogue and digital electrical and electronic power supplies (UPS) and power quality equipment. This will involve working on standby power systems -banked UPS systems up to several MVA (typically c. 300kva).
Key skills involved are:
- electrical repair;
- power electronics repair to component level - preferably with UPS, although experience with similar equipment such as AC inverter drives; switch mode power supplies, induction-heaters / induction-welders, frequency converters will be considered
- previous field service experience or relevant background i.e. Armed Forces (Royal Engineers / REME etc) or within a similar electrical / electronic repair and servicing background.
