UPS Shipping Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Ship all orders that are not to be delivered on HP Products trucks.
- Follow HazMat standards for all shipments containing hazardous materials.
- Wrap skids for freight shipments.
- Complete logs, freight bills, freight claims, bills of lading, etc.
- Run shipping manifest, make changes on orders as needed and reprint tickets.
- Answer shipping desk phone.
- Order supplies, including shrink wrap and shipping supplies.
- Clean designated area of warehouse daily.
- Load freight trucks using loadhog as needed.
- Help Will Call customers when required.
- Pick orders as needed.
Desired education/skills/experience:
- Certified forklift operator.
- Hazardous materials knowledge.
- Knowledge of freight procedures, including UPS and FedEx.
- Knowledge of computer manifest system.
- Knowledge of warehouse layout.
- Reading skills.
- Math aptitude.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maneuver 55-gallon drums of product.
- Ability to change battery in assigned machine by using a hoist to maneuver 300 pounds.
- Ability to operate shrink-wrapping machine.
