Upstream Backbone Deployment Manager Job in Sunbury

The Upstream Backbone Deployment Manager will join the Upstream Backbone leadership team to lead the deployment efforts of the global program. The role will report to and work closely with the VP of Backbone.

As a result of extensive growth through mergers and acquisitions, BP operates with numerous processes and disparate systems that have not been streamlined, resulting in increased complexity, inefficiencies and added costs to support. In 2007, the Upstream embarked on a major effort to address this through process redesign and global implementation of SAP, Maximo and other technologies referred to as the Upstream Backbone program. The goal of the Backbone program is to enhance the Upstream’s performance and competitiveness through major business transformation based on common processes and systems. The Backbone project will drive improved safety and operational risk, reduced cost and the ability to fully leverage BP’s global scale and reach through standardization of processes and systems. This will be enabled through the creation of governance, processes, data, measures, and IT systems that are required to deliver benefits to the business.

This position can be based in either Houston or Sunbury depending on the successful candidate.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering/financial discipline or equivalent experience

- Extensive experience in leading and deploying integrated standard process programs- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills- Project management expertise- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to network effectively across a diverse set of stakeholders, and influence through persuasion, not delegation- A self-starter able to make decisions and progress initiatives independently and in an environment where information may be limited
