URGENT Data Governance Manger for leading Commercial Bank
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Risk Data Assurance team within Commercial Banking Risk - Data Management team. This team is responsible for the quality of credit risk data and ensuring it is recorded and reported appropriately to support the needs of CBR.
The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the improvement in the quality of risk data across the various credit risk applications and will also act as SME within a number of change initiatives and projects. One of the main responsibilities will be the management and delivery of data lineage documentation to support a recently published Data Dictionary.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a proven ability to apply logical thinking to solve problems and meet demanding deadlines. A background in data management would be beneficial but not critical. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a changing and challenging environment.

ROLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION
- Manage the development of Data Lineage
- Prepare data quality reports and recommendations
- Provide analysis of information gathered/large quantities of data, making recommendations as necessary to senior management relating to the effective management of the data
- Act as SME and a point of reference on technical issues in order to minimise risks to our data
- Identify changes to systems, processes and working practices in order to achieve operational improvement
- Support project activities in order to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget
Knowledge of risk data, credit risk applications and processes would be desirable.

- Data and Business Analysis (including process analysis)
- Provide expertise to change initiatives with an impact on risk data
- Support delivery of data cleansing solutions at source to improve the quality of data in our risk systems and to align with governance principles
- Identify operational inefficiencies and drive performance/data quality improvements
- Stakeholder management
- Good presentation skills
