Urgent Software Development Opportunity Job in Ottawa, Ontario Canada
Location: Ottawa
$45-$55 p/hr
Our Ottawa based client is currently looking for a Software Developer who would participate in developing world class communications solutions in a mobile Satellite environment.
This is a long term contract opportunity 6 mo+ and requires and engineer with the following skills:
* Strong C/C++ software development skills
* Experience with embedded programming and debugging
* Experience with multi-threaded applications
* Good low-level knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols
* Developing software in a group under source control
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with embedded CPUs, particularly TI's TMS320C3x series
* Knowledge of higher-level IP protocols such as HTTP, FTP, SIP
* Knowledge of implementation of ISDN protocols
* Knowledge of IP security
* Basic competence in UML
* Experience in embedded Linux programming, including kernel level
* Experience with Green Hills RTOS / LynxOS RTOS or other Linux variants
