US Fixed Income Junior Strategist – Multi-Sector recruitment
BlackRock's Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles.
We are seeking a Junior Strategist for our Core Fixed Income Group in New York. The Junior Strategist is responsible for the development and production of client communications and materials for BlackRock's Multi-Sector Fixed Income strategies, including pitch books, portfolio review presentations, commentaries, and other marketing material. The Junior Strategist will also serve as a broad resource for the Global Client Group (GCG) and clients regarding on-going inquiries into fixed income markets and our products.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with portfolio managers, strategists, and GCG relationship managers to develop and oversee the production of the materials for on-going deliverables, portfolio reviews, ad-hoc meetings, new products, etc.
- Coordinate with portfolio teams, other BlackRock teams, and other offices to ensure consistency and quality over the material across the global product set.
- Develop "best-in-class' set of client communications including strategy presentations, market commentaries, and thought pieces.
- Respond to ad-hoc inquiries from clients and relationship managers regarding fixed income markets and our products/strategies.
- Contribute to building and maintaining team infrastructure and metrics.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS, with evidence of broad skill set.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate between various groups including Strategy, Portfolio Teams, Sector Specialists, Global Client Group, Legal, and other areas.
- Detail-oriented and be able to multi-task effectively.
- Strong communications and writing skills.
- Some fixed income, capital markets and/or economics knowledge strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) strongly preferred.
