US Fixed Income Sales
My client, a leading global top-10 electronics institution are looking to add a minimum of a VP level sales person to their Fixed Income sales desk in London.
Minimum skills:
- 5 years industry experience on a Fixed Income sales desk at a bank with a strong understanding of electronic products OR 5 years experience in a sales / marketing role at a buy side firm with a good technical knowledge of Interest Rates and Credit cash products and bonds ( perhaps for example through prior experience on a trading desk or product specialist role )
- Extensive Fixed Income product knowledge ( Credit and Interest Rates )
- Thorough understanding of electronic trading and the current eCommerce market
- A proven track record of generating revenue or on boarding clients in the Interest Rate / Credit fixed income space
- Very good technical knowledge of Fixed Income products ( interest rates and credit bonds )
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
Daily responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop relationships with US-based institutional clients ( Real Money / Banks / Hedge Funds etc )
- Work closely with the Head of Regional Sales to develop and execute the US buy-side fixed income sales strategy
- Build and develop key relationships both internally and with the US buy-side customer base
- Establish yourself as a ‘go to’ person for US customer enquiries and information
- Educate others and provide presentations / demonstrations as necessary
- Drive the development of the US buy-side sales pipeline
- Take orders and execute on behalf of clients
- Improve levels of business passing through desk, improving profitability
- Advise clients and provide them with trade ideas
- Mentor junior candidates
- Working closely with the fixed income product specialist teams

- Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment

- Defined interest rates and credit product knowledge
- Strong and developed institutional market knowledge
