US Fixed Income Strategist – Multi-Sector recruitment
BlackRock's Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest array of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles.
The US Fixed Income Strategist will be responsible for overseeing the development of client communications and materials for BlackRock's Multi-sector Fixed Income strategies as well as ensuring that daily client servicing needs are addressed. This individual will also be instrumental in the design of fixed income solutions for clients, providing thought leadership for the multi-sector fixed income business, product commercialization, and business ownership by helping to defend revenues and support growth in the Multi-sector Group.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Portfolio Managers to represent the Multi-sector business and products
- Assist clients in developing investment solutions that marry BlackRock Multi-sector capabilities with client needs
- Perform / highlight product and competitor analysis in support of BlackRock Multi-sector products
- Lead client account reviews, conduct portfolio analysis, and create market updates
- Engage with build strong relationships with BlackRock's relationship managers to efficiently and professionally provide first class service to BlackRock's fixed income clients and prospects
- Develop "best-in-class' set of client communications, including strategy presentations, market commentaries, and thought pieces
Skills:
- BA/BS, with strong quantitative skills
- 5+ years of fixed income experience preferably with a product strategist type of role
- Strong fixed income background and experience working with fixed income clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate between various groups including Strategy, Portfolio Teams, Sector Specialists, Global Client Group, Legal, and other areas
- Detail-oriented and be able to multi-task effectively
- Strong communications and writing skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
