Role Description "ROLE PURPOSE Provide leadership to the US Medical Affairs Specialty Infectious Disease teams; collaborating with the respective Brand Team Leaders in developing product strategy, and ensure consistency of approach and deliverables for US Medical Affairs activities. The US MA TL will lead a team of Medical colleagues integrated into individual Brand Teams, manage medical resources, and ensure that US medical plans supporting the Specialty Infectious Disease assets are successfully developed and executed to achieve short- and long-term objectives. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES "Business Plan Development: Lead the development of strategies and tactics to support US medical product needs, and ensure delivery of US Medical Plans for the Infectious Disease assets. Oversee and coordinate medical input into brand strategies and tactics ensuring US regional medical needs "Advisory Boards: Provide leadership for the development and implementation of medical Advisory Boards to gather expert guidance to advise medical planning; Coordinate US regional input into global Advisory Board planning, support implementation and presentations (as needed). "Promotional Materials Development Review: Ensure Medical accuracy of content for promotional materials and sales training. Coordinate medical support for concept development US commercial support in the development of promotional activities; Partner with legal and regulatory colleagues to ensure compliant and accurate content. Ensure high quality medical content of all promotional activities. "Customer Insights: Lead the engagement of HQ Medical Directors with the external community including KOLs and other external stakeholders to ensure that medical strategies reflect customer needs "Infectious Disease MA Alignment: Ensure effective cross-functional alignment in customer facing activities and represent Pfizer externally in the respective Specialty therapeutic area. "Coordinate, and participate in key US Medical Affairs activities including MA input for regulatory interactions, safety updates, participation in publications and abstract development, advisory board development and execution "Internal Communication: Align the voices of Infectious Diseases US Medical Affairs, representing the HQ regional team in internal forums, ensure regional needs are considered and represented in global strategies and plans; develop and strengthen partnerships among key stakeholders "Field Based Medical (Regional Medical Research Specialists and Medical Outcomes Specialists) Partnership: Partner with Field Based Medical TLs to align field and HQ regional team activities to ensure development of operational plans, provide product insight and education, and partner in external interactions. "Build organizational capability: Build trust among team members and broader stakeholders by setting a highly visible example of medical excellence. Actively support development of direct reports, providing insights, direction and opportunities. Qualifications "MD or PhD "Expertise in Infectious Diseases preferred "5+ years Pharmaceutical experience preferred. "Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results. "Capable of comprehending and communicating in a clear, concise manner a large amount of scientific information. "Significant, direct experience servicing customer needs, demonstrated ability to work with multiple clients and stakeholders. "Proven ability to facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations. "Very strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in proactively identifying and addressing challenges. "Demonstrated leadership excellence, proven ability to motivate and lead people in a complex, changing environment. "Well-organized with the ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, and effectively lead in a matrix organization.
