US Payroll Specialist Opportunity in Richardson TX Leader in BPO (Business Process Outsourcer) and CMO (Customer Management Outsourcer) management has an immediate opening for a highly proficient and driven Payroll Specialist in Richardson, TX. This is a CONTRACT TO PERM position supporting 1300 US employees. Location: 250 East Arapaho Road, Richardson, TX Salary: $15.00 - 18.00 (based on experience) First Shift Position Job Responsibilities: To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each of the below duties satisfactorily: - Assists with account reconciliations - Partners with outside agencies, and communicates wage attachment notices to team members - Processes direct deposit requests and updates to employee deductions - Reconciles bank accounts and monitors positive pay on a daily basis - Issues stop payments, places voids, and reverses or deletes payments made to team members in error - Monitors payment of tax deposits and works with service bureau on tax issues - Enters W-4s and ensures compliance with federal and state laws - Monitors overpayment process to ensure funds are collected - Administers returned check process by logging trails and submitting funds to states - Processes semi-monthly payrolls by preparing computer input forms, entering data regarding wages and deductions, and posting to payroll records - Reviews computed wages and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll - Updates data concerning transfer of staff between departments - Serves as first level of contact for employee payroll inquiries - Prepares and issues paychecks; sorts and sends checks to clubs - Answers inquires regarding employment verification (i.e. mortgage, loan and employment) - Audits semi-monthly clock entries - Assists clubs with monthly revenue payroll reports - Serves as liaison with payroll jurisdictions to resolve wage issues - Processes and distributes live checks outside the normal pay schedule - Analyzes, prepares, and audits pay period reports - Files paperwork accordingly - Documents processes and ensures Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards are met by providing input on payroll controls Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics - Proven ability to work with tight deadlines independently and within a team environment - Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutions - Willing and able to meet weekend commitments based on deadlines - Ability to follow-through on deliverables and pay attention to details in the midst of multiple projects and deadlines - Excellent organization skills - Effective oral and written communication skills - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to multi-task and learn quickly - ADP Payroll and MS Office Skills (especially Excel) Educational Requirement: Two-year college degree in Accounting (required) Four-year degree in Accounting (preferred) Three to five years payroll experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience (required) If you interested in this opportunity, please apply online OR send your resume to Latoya.Redden@adeccona.com Please be sure to enter "Payroll Specialist" in the subject line if you email me.
