Usability Analyst recruitment

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 •Continually review usability and accessibility guidelines to ensure they remain in accordance with current industry standards and legislations (both European and International).
•Using relevant usability testing techniques, assess IB software, on an on-going basis, to assess its ability to meet all or parts of specified usability and accessibility guidelines and advise colleagues and management on its suitability.
•Provide usability and accessibility expertise for relevant projects from design through to implementation to ensure IB systems follow IB’s usability and accessibility standards, and to identify and implement new standards as appropriate.
•Play a key role in the user interface standards working group (UISWG) to ensure that the business and IT continue to work together to define and maintain agreed standards.
•Play an active role in relevant IB user groups by acting in an advisory capacity on usability standards.
•Assess user satisfaction by implementing different methods of feedback such as the design and development of survey materials (e.g. questionnaires); 1-2-1 user experience interviews and formal involvement in the user acceptance testing process where required.
•Maintain and develop knowledge of current IT and organizational developments to ensure that opportunities relevant to the IB are identified, researched and applied.
 
REQUIREMENTS

 •Proven experience of usability testing, including international guidelines.
•Proven experience of accessibility testing, including international guidelines/legislation.
•HCI/usability qualification or relevant experience.
•Proven ability to use own initiative.
•Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to chair meetings, make presentations, and to use persuasive communication skills to establish and maintain the high profile of usability and accessibility.
•Excellent analytical skills.
•Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software development processes.
