Responsibilities
Moody's Analytics is looking for a creative, dynamic, analytical
experience designer to join its User Experience team supporting
Moodys.com. The ideal candidate should possess experience defining,
driving, and delivering best-in-class experiences for complex analytical
applications. Ability to think strategically, has experience in visual
and interaction design principals, and can coach stakeholders in
user-centered design best practices, process, and vision.
This position will play a key role in designing innovative, engaging and
effective designs that help our users easily solve complex problems.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Interpret business requirements into effective UI designs
- Deliver end-to-end user experience solutions for multiple products and
platforms, from concepts, detailed wireframes, prototypes, to visual
design comps, and detailed design specifications
- Solid understanding of software and web design principles.
- Ability to simplify and turn complex information into intuitive
graphics, charts, graphs, and other forms of data visualization
- Works with other designers to ensure user interface is consistent with
User Experience best practices and standards and Moody's brand
guidelines
- Contribute in building a user experience online style guide, pattern
library, and other design repositories
- Ability to coach and mentor stakeholders in user-centered design
process and usability best practices
Qualifications
- Degree in graphic design, interactive design or related discipline
- 4+ years experience in visual and interaction design
- Familiarity in developing user profiles, user scenarios, task flows,
and information architecture
- Excellent visual design skills, including strong understanding of
layout, color, composition and data visualization principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, decentralized
environment
- Ability to successfully juggle multiple projects in a compressed
timeline, with competing priorities
- Practical knowledge of design tools, including Adobe creative suite,
HTML, CSS
- Experience in working Agile environment a plus
- Experience designing for Flex applications a plus
- Experience in financial environment preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating experience producing elegant solutions for
complex applications is a must
