Barnes Noble.com is seeking an exceptional User Experience Research Analyst to support the award-winning NOOK eReader devices. The ideal candidate will have the education and experience necessary to independently conduct primary research, analyze data, and communicate results to a team of designers, developers, and product managers.

- Design and conduct primary user research to develop product requirements, define user profiles, and test concepts, prototypes, and iterative builds.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research including Exploratory Research, Surveys, Field Studies and Usability Studies.
- Present findings and make concrete recommendations, verbally and in written form, to help incorporate findings into the product.
- Organize and manage multiple concurrent projects and adjust to frequent changes in project priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Designers, Product Management, Technology, and company executives.
- Supervise and participate in participant recruiting.
- Flexible hours, because working past 5 - when our customers are able to participate in research - produces the best data.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- 3 years of experience conducting user research using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user methods.
- Experience with Education Technology and/or Accessibility research methods is preferred.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the Agile development process a plus.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and innovative research ideas.
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related field (marketing, psychology, HCI, etc.).
