User Interface / User Experience Architect
Due to our tremendous growth and business acquisitions, Ipreo is looking to hire a User Interface / User Experience Architect
This person will:
- Work closely with our product and development teams to develop web based software solutions
- Carry user interface design projects through the design and development cycle (including user research, testing and analysis, requirement gathering, conceptual design, interaction design and interaction specifications) while working closely with both the product and development teams
- Create site maps, wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
- Work directly with product managers to define product requirements focusing on efficiency, ease-of-use, and positive software feedback
- Work directly with development managers to ensure all changes are properly executed and will have a preponderance of positive impact on the user experience while having minimal impact on existing development resources
- Prototype detailed and intuitive user interface designs for external and internal applications incorporating end-user feedback by exploring new concepts and implementing creative new solutions while working within, and occasionally extending, our existing platform, company, and industry standards
- Apply an inventive and intuitive look and feel to all color schemes, branding, charting, iconography, task flow, interactions and navigations.
- Create human friendly interactive tools that reflect our Investment Banking clients’ work-flow and business.
- Work within a supportive, collaborative culture focused on innovation, working with project managers, sales teams and technology staff in a fast paced environment

Technical Skills
- 7+ years software design and development experience, with a minimum 5+ years of UI development
- A solid understanding of the DOM.
- Recent experience in designing and implementing UI/UX using and JavaScript UI libraries - JQuery, AJAX, HTML/DHTML CSS technologies
- Ability to hand code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Expert level skills in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and cross platform browser compatibility
- Ability to graphically display dense data sets
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of concepts, best practices, and procedures as relate to Information Architecture, Human Factors, and User Experience.

Other Skills and Experiences
- An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions in rich interactive applications and/or websites. All candidates MUST send an impressive online portfolio Huge plus if this includes problem statements, design rationale, concepts, wireframes, and end products
- Have solid experience with Interface Design (UI), Information Architecture (IA), Interaction Design (IxD),
- Have a solid understanding of Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design (UX), Human Factors, and current rich internet applications and web technologies
- Ability to leverage rapid prototyping and frequent customer interaction to inform design decisions
- User-centered design perspective and understanding of related design methodologies
- A keen aesthetic, fanatical attention to detail and the ability to distill simple solutions from complex problems.
- Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
- Strong desires to advance your skill set and enjoy technical challenges.
- The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and establish personal objectives to meet defined deadlines.
Strongly preferred:
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, ASP.NET, and C#,
- Bachelors degree
- Strong graphics design background
