Utilities Accountant
Hays are currently recruiting for a utilities accountant for a large property organisation based in Birmingham city centre. The role has arisen due to a period of sustained growth that has resulted in additional support being required to supplement the finance function.
The successful candidate will be required to complete regular bank reconciliations,in addition to ensuring PL's are accurately reported and invoices are cleared appropriately. You will also be liaising with the Accounts payable team to ensure the timely payment of the invoices. In addition to the above you will be reporting directly to the client accountant. You will also be involved in assisting with the reporting to clients on all financial activities on the portfolio of properties managed in a given period. Working knowledge of TRAMPS system or COINS is essential to be considered for this role.
Previous experience working within a property organisation would be advantageous. To be considered for this role the applicant must be actively studying towards becoming fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
The desired candidate must be forward thinking and be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team environment. Being able to show implementation of process change or improvement in a previous role would also be beneficial.
