For the Munich office, Canadian Solar is seeking an
Utility Projects Sales Manager EMEA.
Manages and develops customer accounts in terms of capital advisory, here equity and debt arrangements, and in line with business strategy and marketing plan to sell the company’s products in order to achieve sales targets.
Key responsibilities may include:
Bankability assurance:
- Monitor the compilation of the bankability tools, advising on bankable financing arrangements
- Establish and maintain relationships with all leading PV funding lenders and equity co-sponsors and promote the company’s merits coordinating any required action
Sales enhancement to utility-scale projects:
- Identify collaboration opportunities with project developers, EPCs and both, lenders and equity investors, to set-up a commercial framework to enhance our company sales on utility scale projects
- Formulate collaboration proposals with key players (developers / EPCs, utilities, insurances and funds, here equity co-investors)
- Negotiate the sale of the modules within the defined collaboration framework to facilitate the closing of module supply
- Originate and execute the sale of utility scale solar PV projects within global investor community including the buy-side of these projects such as utilities, insurances /re-insurances and funds including Private Equity, Venture Capital, High Net-worth individuals, family offices and foundations
- Ensures high customer satisfaction at all times
- Represents the company’s brand to world leading commercial banks and outstanding equity co-investors
- Creates awareness and demand for company products and / or services
- Ensures compliance with internal processes and policies and external regulation at all times
- Documents financial process and ensures high data accuracy
- Manages company’s financial risks involved in sales process
- Ensures compliance to internal procedures and policies and external regulation and standards
Requirements:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or comparable; Master’s degree a plus
Work Experience:
- Two or more years of experience in PV, renewable industry or alternatively at financial institutions (banks / funds); PV projects finance experience preferred, including equity and debt financing
Technical Knowledge:
- Good MS Office skills

Languages:
German and English spoken fluently is a must; additional languages are a plus
