UX Designer Job in New York 10017, New York US
Vibrant is seeking a UX Designer who will bring experience designing and prototyping new ad concepts. They will work closely with the product, sales and creative teams to concept, design and prototype new products and iterate based on usage data and client feedback. A successful UX Designer has an eagerness to jump in and solve problems and a unique combination of proven talent and ability in interface design, visual design and basic coding.
We are looking for some that can:
• Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques including, but not limited to, prototyping and usability testing
• Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
• Collaborate with teams in Sales Marketing, Product and Engineering on product enhancements and solutions for Vibrant’s advertising platform
Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
5+ years of user interface design experience
• Ability to understand Vibrant’s client needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables
• Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Must be a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on
• Strong conceptual thinking and knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions - must have an intermediate understanding of major web analytics packages and SEO strategies
• Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-discipline team
• Experience with DHTML, CSS table-less design and JavaScript. Flash, ActionScript, PHP a plus.
• Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
• BS/BA in Design, HCI or related degree preferred
• Agency experience a plus, but not necessary
