UXO TECHNICIAN III
Job Description UXO Technician III AECOM is currently seeking an unexploded ordnance (UXO) Technician III for construction support, avoidance, and/or clearance activities in various locations throughout the United States. The hourly rates, per diem and health and welfare benefits will be calculated based on the Services Contract Act wage determination for the county of work. Candidates must a graduate of a Military EOD School of the United States and have eight years or more prior military EOD and/or commercial UXO experience in munitions response actions or range clearance activities, as appropriate for the contracted operation. In addition to being able to fully perform all of the UXOSP and for UXO TECH I and UXO TECH II functions above, UXO TECH III personnel may: - Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of MEC, and handling of demolition materials. - Prepare an explosives storage plan per all applicable guidance. - Prepare required UXO munitions response actions and/or range maintenance administrative reports. - Prepare standard operating procedures for on-site munitions responses and/or for range clearance activities. - Assist in the preparation of risk and hazards analyses. - Conduct daily site safety briefings. - Supervise the conduct of all on-site UXO-related operations. - Inspect and certify and/or verify MPPEH as safe or as to the explosive hazard it may present for transfer within the Department of Defense or release from DoD control per current policies and standards. Training Requirements: - Successful completion of a United States Military EOD School and EOD Senior Level Badge preferred - 40 HR Hazwoper Certification - 8 HR Hazwoper Certification (If applicable) - OSHA Physical Certification
