VALIDATION MANAGER
DIESEL FUEL PUMPS
GILLINGHAM, KENT

We are seeking an experienced Validation Manager to lead the Medium Duty Systems Validation Team responsible for ensuring that Medium Duty diesel fuel injection systems released for production meet their reliability and durability objectives. The responsibility encompasses all FIE and related components to be delivered to MD customers including Common rail systems and mechanical pumps and injectors.

As Validation Manager you will be required to define the project system validation requirements and the validation requirements for specific products, ensuring that the agreed validation plans are executed and reported in a timely manner. In addition the customer validation activities must be monitored and recorded.

You will: create / co-ordinate / maintain system validation plans for all customers; generate budgetary estimates for the individual project validation plans; plan activities with the validation facilities to efficient rig utilisation; provide a focal point for all Customer validation products; co-ordinate and document by a systematic approach products requiring analysis; and will ensure all Validation lessons learnt and technical concerns are captured and documented and professionally tracked through to a satisfactory timely resolution.

You will also be required to design and implement tests and carry out analysis of data and components to determine failure modes, or risks and corrective actions are implemented as well as facilitating fast and accurate communication with product team engineers to assure robust design and flawless launch objectives. You will also participate in Program Project reviews and design reviews as required.

To succeed as Validation Manager you will be a methodical individual with attributes in planning, analytical techniques, documentation and communication skills and must be able to work effectively with the common rail and mechanical product teams, company licensees and customers.

You will be qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineer or related subject and have proven experience in development engineering or equivalent area. You must be data driven, not opinion based and your personal strengths should include: people management skills, self-directed, goal oriented, with strong team interaction skills that facilitate cross-functional involvement. DOE and statistical analysis knowledge is also required.

You must be able to constructively deal with conflict situations and able to develop and present technical presentations to team members. You must be able to travel to global sites and customers, when required.
