VALUATION – Director recruitment
A leading global investment bank with a profitable presence and unparalleled financial services throughout the world, this bank is continuously expanding in America, Asia and key emerging markets. This bank is seeking a Senior Valuation manager responsible for part of the Finance controlling team based in Singapore. The team will work closely with Trading, Controllers and Market Risk Management both in Singapore and throughout the region. This includes the businesses across Asia Pacific.
Key responsibilities:
- To manage a team of 25
- To ensure the integrity and control over all aspects of the Valuation of the Banks trading portfolios within Global Markets
- Performing independent price verification (IPV) on all pricing parameters for all businesses and product types-includes reporting and commentaries on the results and communication with the business, Market Risk group and Global Product line BACs
- Performing intra-month IPV to ensure the Trading Desks mark their books accurately on a daily basis
- Ensuring Valuation Adjustment calculation and methodologies are correctly adopted across all businesses
- Confirmation of valuation control issues as part of the New Product Approval process
Requirements:

- Numerate background in a mathematical discipline / strong accounting background within investment banking
- Min. 15 years of experience within the Controlling/Product Control/Middle Office department with exposure to all product classes - interest rate, fixed income, derivatives) and FX markets
- Specific exposure to the reserving, pricing and modelling aspects of valuation control of the business
The team will be engaged in a number of initiatives and projects and it is expected that the analyst will get involved in this project based work.?
