Valuation Risk Group (VRG) Associate recruitment

The Valuation Risk Group sits within Market Risk and is primarily responsible for independent price verification (IPV) across all asset classes and the calculation of Credit Valuation Adjustments (CVA). This role sits within a team of four, giving opportunities for exposure to diverse portfolios and interaction with a variety of other departments.
The team is looking for an IPV Associate to expand the team, increasing the depth and breadth of price testing coverage.
As a Valuation Risk Group Associate your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Very strong product knowledge of at least one derivative asset class
- Control mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work without supervision under time pressure
- Good Excel / SQL skills to deal with the challenges of a changing environment
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate discipline
- Previous IPV experience is highly desirable but not essential

As a Valuation Risk Group Associate your main responsibilities will involve:
- Monthly price testing of derivative portfolios
- Evaluation of market data inputs used for Fair Value Adjustments (both Market and Credit Risk)
