Job Description
Case New Holland, a world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of a broad range of construction and agricultural equipment, has an opening for a Value Analysis Engineer. The successful candidate will provide on-site support and expertise relative to product cost management for current and new products (platform); serve on product development core teams, provide technical cost estimates to manufacturing and strategic sourcing, tracks, prepare and reports cost impacts for New Product and Current Product key models versus targets, forecast and budgets.
- Maintain a general awareness of projects and activities affecting product costs (reductions and increases)
- Maintain a list of Engineering Changes which will affect current product cost.
- Prepare for and present forecast data at plant current product cost evolution meetings
- Brainstorm cost reduction ideas, enter data, facilitate use, and manage projects in cost reduction tracking tool.
- Track and assist in achieving schedules for cost reduction projects
- Work with finance monthly to reconcile current product cost changes.
- Assist in preparing management reports and updates
- Validate plant current product cost forecasts.
- Participate in new product costing activities
- Prepare and give presentations covering cost reduction, Key Model tracking and New Product Programs.
- Assist in selecting key models for cost
- Compare current and new product BOMs for errors; review lessons learned, warranty, TWS lists, etc. to understand history of cost reductions and their effects on quality and reliability
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree or equivalentexperience in Product Cost/Value Analysis Field.
- 3 or more years of practical experience
- Experience in several of the following: time studies, cost estimation, cost analysis, supporting or leading cost improvement projects, make/buy analysis, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent computer skills: WPS, E-Viewer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical software, etc.
- Ability to work with personnel at various management levels
- Ability to conduct meetings with and make presentations to plant, platform and functional leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, including internationally.
Assets:
- Manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience with Lean, TQM, ProE, MatrixOne, SAP would be beneficial
