Value Stream Leader Job

The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meets day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities - Be responsible for developing and executing a business plan that provides delivery of goals and metrics including Safety, Quality, Productivity, Output, Cycle reduction / Inventory Reduction, and Continuous Improvement / Lean Implementation Strategy for a given Product / Assembly - Promote customer satisfaction, develop positive customer relationships, and focus on Team Development - Create and Drive Lean Vision via leading and participating in Action Workouts (kaizen) and utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools to improve processes Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor s Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an operations or management position) - Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Prior experience in Lean manufacturing, assembly, machining or fabrication work - Bachelor s Degree in Business Management, Engineering or Operations - Six Sigma training (GE employees only) - Strong PC, Microsoft access, Data warehouse and production planning experience - Ability to work in a fast pace, high intensity environment while spending majority of time on shop floor - Strong coaching, facilitation and team building skills - Strong commitment for process improvement via lean problem solving tools - Knowledge of engineering drawings / specifications and manufacturing processes - Highly detail oriented, organized, and flexible - Knowledge of safety agency regulations - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Why join one great company when you can join many?
