Valve Assembly Job in Exton 19341, Pennsylvania US
Job Description:
Assembles prepared machined parts (bodies,seats,disc, stems and springs) into completed valve assemblies, according to prescribed assembly drawings and instructions, by performing the following duties:
1. Lift workpieces either manually or using lifting equipment and secure workpieces into appropriate fixtures.
2. Inspect parts for conformity to production and quality standards.
3. Lap, grind or polish seats and discs to eliminate scratches and refine surface finishes to optimize valve sealing capability.
4. Assemble parts according to prescribed practices, procedures and assembly drawings.
5. Test valves with either air or water according to testing procedures.
6. Peform test stand maintenance as rquired.
7. At all times maintain a safe and clean work area, helping others as required to do the same in their areas.
Job Experience:
Mathematical Skills:
Perform basic math computations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability:
A good mechanical aptitude and ability to reason the solution to basic day to day problems.
Physical Demands:
Must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The ability to lift 50 pounds loads (individual or boxes/trays of components parts or assemblies) is required on a frequent basis.
Position pays $12.50/hr.
