MILVETS Systems Technology has immediate openings for full time contract IT Support positions in Virginia Beach, VA. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. In order to pass the clearance, candidates must be U.S. citizens and cannot have any of the following on their record in the past 10 years: bankruptcy, DUI, domestic violence charge, criminal record/felony conviction, and other issues may apply. Information Assurance Manager

 

Description:

General Job Description: Coordinates, develops, and evaluates security programs for EN services contract. 

This includes, but is not limited to, such programs as OPSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC, resource protection, and facility and boundary protection.

Under general direction, responsible for activities relating to information assurance procedures and systems related to EN services.

Develops information assurance procedures and systems.

Develops information systems assurance programs and control guidelines to ensure compliance with SOCOM and ITMO security and Information Assurance guidance and published directives.

Confers with and advises EN Services contractor support personnel  on administrative policies and procedures and resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods.

Consults with and advises other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures.

Prepares activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function.

Functional Responsibilities: 

Responsible to provide enterprise-wide network support services to manage USSOCOM’s global enterprise IT data, voice, and video communications networks providing coverage for USSOCOM Headquarters, all Component Commands, TSOCs, and subordinate commands, to include all services as specified in the PWS.

Education: 

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines. 

A Bachelor’s degree may be waived if the individual has six years of additional related experience.

Security Clearance:

Secret with SSBI that can be upgraded to TS/SCI

Required Experience: 

This position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience with a degree.

Desired Experience: 

3 years of experience in responsible management positions.

Professional Certifications:

Network Engineer

 

Description:

Telecommunications design and management experience, particularly on complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis.

Functional Responsibility:

Performs design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local and wide-area network hardware, software and applications.

Can install and configure WAN and LAN hardware.

Experience with satellite and LOS communications systems.

Oversees development and implemenation of system specifications, designs, integration, testing, and documentation.

Develops risk management and mitigation strategy Ensures compliance with QA standards.

Security Clearance:

Top Secret with SSBI that can be upgraded to TS/SCI

Required Experience: 

This position requires a minimum of 6-8 years of experience with a degree.

Senior Systems Engineer

 

Description:

Performs high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.

Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IVV and DTE).

Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution.

Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results.

Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order.

May be required to serve as Task Leader.

VTC Specialist

 

Description:

Installs, configures, tests, upgrades, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs video teleconferencing (VTC) system and VOIP systems.

Conducts quality assurance tests to identify system failures and to analyze, isolate, and correct operational faults on VTC and VOIP equipment infrastructure and software in the end user environment.

VTC/VOIP Specialists shall possess knowledge of various VTC and VOIP hardware software brand(s) of equipment (Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco, etc.) and related protocols (i.e., H.323, H.235, H.264, H.239, Duo Video, etc) and a working knowledge of routing equipment and their interfaces with VTC hardware and multilayer secure network environments.

Education:

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

11 Jan 2012 – 10 Jan 2013 with 4, one year option periods (5 years total).

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standard hours of coverage are 0800-1700, Monday – Friday (excluding Holidays). 

There will be periods during which the contractor will be required to work weekends, extending hours and be on call for mission critical support.   

 

Contractor personnel may be deployed to OCONUS locations to provide IT support as required (undefined requirement).  Selected individuals may required access to Special Access Programs.
