Vascular Technologist Job in Laguna Hills 92637, California US

We are an advanced out patient radiology center seeking an experienced vascular technologist to set up an ultrasound vascular lab within the practice. Candidate must possess knowledge of ICAVL standards for accreditation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Performs non-invasive diagnostic exams in an out-patient setting, including peripheral arterial, peripheral venous, dialysis access, abdominal arterial, abdominal venous evaluations; performs all examinations in accordance with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and Intersociatal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Labs (ICAVL) standards and department protocols.
*Interprets evaluation and provides a preliminary report following completion of evaluation. Compares evaluation to previous evaluations as necessary
*Good communication skills to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and coworker.
*Serves as a liaison between patients, interpreting physicians and referring providers; explains testing procedures to patient; ensures that emergent exam results are relayed promptly to the appropriate physician.
*Utilizes appropriate educational resources to maintain currency in diagnostic sonography, and assists in various educational services relating to both staff and patients
*Performs incidental office duties as necessary to maintain the completeness of the patient record; ensures that patient data is entered correctly and that patients are billed appropriately
*Assists with Quality Assurance/Improvements audits and activities as required.
*Performs related duties as required

Education:
Must have a minimum of three years experience performing vascular ultrasound
Completion of an accredited allied health education program, plus completion of a twelve month intership in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent.
Licensure
Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
