VAT Manager - IIT / CTA - Glasgow
Our client, a highly prestigious mid-tier accountancy firm based in Scotland have current got a VAT Specialist position in their Glasgow office
This position offers an excellent career opportunity to establish a second division of the VAT team in Glasgow. There is a second position available in Edinburgh for a trainee VAT consultant with prior VAT consulting knowledge and experience.
Our client has a renowned UK Specialist VAT Team very strong in Edinburgh and due to the increase in demands on the team in the west they need someone to spearhead this expansion. The position in Edinburgh offers a trainee post that will be working on established and busy accounts working closely with the VAT partner and manage.
On a less serious note, the team are very friendly and organise lots of fun events - team meals and summer sports. The modern offices are central in the heart of both Edinburgh and Glasgow and offer easy access by bus or train (5 mins walk from train station on all major bus routes).
About the Role
-Work in the VAT team on projects - from basic compliant to large on-going endeavours
-Assist and advise stakeholders both internally and externally on VAT issues
-Assist with consultancy across the business on an ad-hoc basis
About You

-Experience working with VAT consultancy managing a small team
-Experience within a practice environment would be beneficial but not neccessary experience within HMRC or industry would also be desirable.
