We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and resourceful developer to gain experience in the financial services sector and to contribute to the growth of the company and the future of the company`s core products. You will help develop new, and enhance existing, web-based applications (both client-facing products and backend Data Management systems) in VB.NET.
You can expect to be involved with all stages of the software lifecycle, from requirements gathering, planning and design, implementation to testing, deployment and documentation. You will be part of a small development team working on your own projects but also liaising with our Research Analysts and Publications professionals across all areas and levels of the company.
Successful Candidate
You must be a highly motivated, delivery orientated developer able to work independently to meet deadlines. You should have in-depth experience and knowledge of:
- Web development using VB.Net
- Database development with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
Knowledge of AJAX, jQuery, SVN and IIS7 would also be beneficial.
In addition to your solid technology experience, you will need the communications skills to be able to effectively gather requirements and manage expectations across all levels of staff in our Research and Publications teams.
