VB.NET Programmer Job in Clark, New Jersey Us
Overview
Global Risk Consultants (GRC) is currently recruiting for a VB.NET programmer. This is a technical position. This person will be part of a 6 person IT department, and will work closely with the programmer analyst, global resource manager, external programming consultants, and the CIO on a variety of projects. Our programming environment primarily consists of SQL Servers (2005), Visual Studio 2010 VB.NET/ASP.NET using Telerik controls.
Technical Requirements
To be successful in this position, the programmer will need to meet these requirements:
Ordered from most important to least important
· AS degree (or higher) from an accredited college (Must)
· Two years of continuous programming experience (Must)
· Expert knowledge of Microsoft Access with VBA (Must)
o Writing an support VBA modules
o SQL/MS Access Back-ends
o Migrations to Access 2010
· Visual Basic .NET/ASP.NET (Must)
· Visual Studio (2005/2008/2010) (Plus)
· SQL Server Stored Procedures (Plus)
· HTML/CSS (Plus)
· Javascript (Plus)
General Requirements
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Must be able to multi-task.
· Ability to work individually, and in a team setting.
· Take the initiative to learn new technology.
Summary
We are looking for someone who wants to take their experience to the next level. The person has to be familiar with MS Access using VBA. Ideally the programmer has an understanding of VB.NET, and can navigate in Visual Studio. Although not a requirement, the person will need to get familiar with Telerik, since all web apps contain Telerik ASP.NET controls. This will also call for the programmer to do additional learning on their own to get up to speed.
