Opus recruitment solutions are working with a leading manufacturer of bespoke software/systems to the Engineering industry. Rapid growth dictates a requirement for a `support programmer` which will join the customer support team. The role will involve updating, testing and supporting customers who utilise the equipment. This support will involve upgrading interfaces and acting to critical support requests- bug fifing and problem resolution skills are a must. Ideally, candidates will have knowledge of VB6 or VC6 but plans are to move the GUI end of their work to .NET frameworks. THE TECHNOLOGY SKILLSET WILL BE OVERLOOKED IF CANDIDATES DISPLAY GENUINE BASIC PROGRAMMING SKILLS. This role would suit either a junior programmer, looking to get their foot in the door, or an experienced candidate looking to change direction or get back in the game following some time off. THE CLIENT ARE PARTICULARLY KEEN TO HEAR FROM LOCAL CANDIDATES AND CAN INTERVIEW NEXT WEEK FOR THE RELEVANT APPLICATIONS.
